Fantastic Fourums: Ken's

First Bibliography Entry

Aziz, Hap. “The 5 Keys to Educational Technology.” The Journal. Web. 16 Sept. 2010.

Hap Aziz defines educational technology as “the considered implementation of appropriate tools, techniques or processes that facilitate the application of senses, memory, and cognition to enhance teaching practices and improve learning outcomes.” This basically means that technology is a method that thoroughly engages teachers and students alike in order to enhance their respective educational experiences.

  1. Hi Ken:

It seems like you found an extremely productive source, at least as you start to think through the initial stages of your research. As we discussed during class today it's helpful to look at the research process as though it were an inverted funnel: you start broad, and eventually you narrow into a question that is of interest to you.

It does appear that you did some sort of annotated bibliography entry, perhaps something you learned in a previous class, as opposed to the extended bibliography entries that I requested. This piece will need revision prior to the unit project being due, and you should check the unit one sheets for my list of expectations and requirements. Otherwise, keep up the good work.

  2. Hey Ken:

This really is something that I think will be a great starting point for your future bibliography research. Great job with obtaining a source and citing it.

Technology and learning is definitely something that we are going to be able to get a good chance to see the benefits/downfalls. I think if you just find some other similar ideals and contrasting ideals as well as your opinions on them, this could be a very interesting and productive are of research!
